Founded on May 8, 2001, as the first private pension fund in Georgia, the organization is a member of Vienna Insurance Group, one of the largest insurance companies in Europe. GPI Holding entered the Georgian insurance market actively at the beginning of 2002 and, in its very first year of operation, achieved significant results across various fields of insurance.

The company was founded in 2004. Since 2007, the company’s main shareholder has been the Austrian Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe (VIG), one of the largest insurance companies in Central and Eastern Europe. JSC Insurance Company Cartu was founded on September 13, 2001. Its main founder and majority shareholder (holding 82.27% of the capital) is JSC Cartu Bank. From 2001 to 2013, the company primarily served the Cartu Group member companies and implemented a health insurance social program in the Sachkhere district. Since 2014, it has been actively present on the insurance market, offering a full package of services in all types of life and non-life insurance to all clients (both legal entities and individuals). The insurance company has representative offices in Batumi, Poti, and Telavi, as well as a wide network of provider medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies throughout the country. JSC Green Insurance Georgia was founded in 2013 and initially operated on the market under the name International Insurance Company Kamara. In early 2020, International Insurance Company Kamara was acquired by JSC Metro Avrasya Investment Georgia. Following a rebranding, the company changed its name and re-entered the insurance market with a renewed positioning as Green Insurance Georgia.

Founded in 2007 under the name JSC Standard Insurance Georgia by Standard Insurance, the largest insurance company in Azerbaijan – an unprecedented leader in the Azerbaijani insurance market with a capital of 20 million euros, 13 years of successful history, and strong international partnerships. From February 23, 2018, JSC Standard Insurance Georgia changed its corporate name to JSC Insurance Company Prime. The company is a progressively developing insurance provider, built on long-term relationships and trust with its customers.

At the end of 2016, TBC Group acquired the insurance company Kopenbur and today it operates under the name TBC Insurance. Just like for TBC Bank, one of the main priorities for TBC Insurance is modern technologies and digital services – a priority that is also reflected in customer service.
