The social service agency (SSA) says  the health insurance state program is accessible to public school teachers, administrative and technical staffs of public schools, teachers of vocational schools, teachers of boarding schools and teachers of public schools in Gali District, the autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.
Beneficiaries will enjoy insurance services of the insurance companies the Georgian government selected in spring 2010 by competition.
72 338 beneficiaries joined the insurance program in January 2011. At this stage, the program involves 957 663 persons. The state pays various tariffs, which range from 8 to 13 GEL due to regions.
The state insurance program is available to the poor, people’s artists, painters and Rustaveli Premium laureates, forcibly displaced persons in compact settlements and orphan children.
